Outdoor Nature Program for the Young Child

Beginning September 2011, Tender Tracks is offering an opportunity for the parent and young child to share the joys of the natural world together. Through stories, songs and explorations, Wendolyn Bird will facilitate playful journeys into the heart of nature.
The program offers a time for the parent and child to step away from their routines and bask in the joys of Marin’s lush natural settings.
Included in the program are three, two-hour parent meetings offering:
- Developmental information and hand outs
- Nature connection experiences for yourself
- Nature experiences, stories and songs to bring to your child(ren)
- Support for and debriefing of the emotional/spiritual/physical experiences with your children during the exploration times.
- An opportunity to be with other local parents and children while exploring and experiencing our home, Earth.
Program Details:
11 weekly sessions; 8 with the children and 3 with parents only
When:
Parents – pre, mid and post meetings: Monday, September 5; Monday, Oct. 3; Friday, Oct.28
Children with parents – Wednesdays, September 7-October 26
Where: based in Fairfax and exploring the surrounding areas; specific location TBA weekly
Time: 9:30 to 11:30 am
